Summer program counselors reside with students in the campus lodge and provide care and supervision, and conduct activities for students ages 12 through 18. Hours are 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. Compensation is $75.00 per day, plus three meals and lodging. Counselors are eligible for staff discounts on teachers' workshops. Qualifications: Experience working with students ages 12 through 18. Current First Aid and CPR certification required; First Responder certification is preferred.

Trip outfitter - Helper - Crow Canyon’s Cultural Explorations department is seeking individuals to help as camp outfitters on several tours between May and September. The primary responsibility of the camp outfitter is managing logistics of a river-style kitchen and cook for groups of 15-30 people. This includes transporting participants and program gear, camp set-up and clean-up, and providing good customer service. We have 3 large 3-burner propane stoves, as well as Dutch ovens. Our menus and food quantities are planned ahead and our staff will help with grocery shopping, packing equipment, loading, and de-rigging etc. The campsite sites are primitive—with no running water or bathrooms. We haul our own 125 gallon water container for drinking and cooking as well as our own toilet systems. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. Two years experience working with groups of 15 to 30 people in a camp setting is desired. Experience with outdoor leadership, trip logistics, and pulling trailers is preferred. Current Wilderness First Responder and CPR training preferred.
May 4–7: Chaco 2 perspectives—two nights camping, one day preparation, and one day de-rig (four days)
Camping south of Chaco National Historic Park
May 12–15: Chaco Backcountry—one day preparation, four nights camping, one day de-rig (six days)
June 13, 14: Cedar Mesa
September 24, 25: Kayenta Hiking—two nights camping, one day preparation, one day de-rig (four days)

The development assistant provides administrative support to the development team, including but not limited to team meeting minutes, development events, travel arrangements, donor research and mailings. Qualifications: A. A. degree in English or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or at least three years of responsible experience in development or a related professional field. Experience in a not-for-profit organization is a plus.

The cultural explorations program manager is responsible for providing staff leadership to Crow Canyon’s travel education program. Executes strategic plans, markets and promotes adult educational travel and research programs, supervises staff, and ensures that revenue goals are attained. Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration or Tourism Administration or related studies. Three years of management and marketing experience. Previous experience in designing educational travel programs for a non-profit organization desirable. Experience in domestic and international travel, archaeology, Native history, or world culture is desirable.
