Location Whole study unit. Great tower complex. Tops of some walls around the great tower that connect that structure to the rest of the roomblock to the east and the south.
Selection Criteria Judgmental. To try to define the architectural relationship of the great tower to the rest of the roomblock.
Excavation Strategy Other. Scraped off modern ground surface duff and excavated shallowly into the A horizon.

Location Segment 5 (1 x 2 m unit oriented generally east-west (included a narrow strip 6 - 18 cm wide that was really the west end of the 1 x 2 unit adjacent to the east, but excavated with this unit for logistical reasons--see stratigraphic profile and plan map).). In the great tower complex. In the westernmost room (bi-wall room) adjacent to the oversized kiva in the great tower.
