Presence of niches in the bench face, upper lining wall, and in the deflector suggest some ritual use, but do not preclude domestic use. A possible "pass-through" was defined in the east upper lining wall (see structure plan map). This feature would have provided mutual access between this structure and Structure 1208, and would indicate use by one residential group.
