Structure 19-S, masonry surface structure

CONSTRUCTION

Method and Sequence

Room built up against cliff face below overhang, and on top of Structure 15-S. The roof of Structure 15-S was most likely used as a platform when constructing this room. The north and east sides are defined by the cliff face. A section of the south wall is preserved but nothing remains of the west wall. See masonry screen for architectural description of south wall. Two stones and mortar present in the cliff crack in the northeast corner of the room may be a fragment of a wall or a wall feature. The cliff overhang may have served as the ceiling of this room.
