Structure 102, masonry surface structure

CONSTRUCTION

Method and Sequence

Structure 103, a masonry surface room, was constructed first. The north and south walls of Structure 102 abutted Structure 103. The east interior wall of Structure 102 is the exterior west wall of Structure 103. It is possible that the east wall of Structure 102 (same as the west wall of Structure 103) was constructed on the remains of an earlier masonry surface structure. Colorado Mountain College excavated Structure 102 in the 1970s and removed the floor. Therefore it is unknown if Structure 102 was constructed with any floor features.

Roof Description

Very little of the structure walls are preserved. It is unknown what type of roof support this structure had. The roof support most likely rested on the top of the structure walls.
