STRUCTURE DATING

Abandonment

Secondary refuse (Nonstructure 152) was deposited into the structure above the collapsed roof sediments. Nonstructure 152 dates from the Pueblo II period, therefore Structure 137 was no longer used after the Pueblo II period.

Construction

Based on architectural characteristics and pottery data, Structure 137 was probably constructed during the late Pueblo II period.

Remodeling

The original hearth (Feature 6) was reduced (Feature 2) at some point during the use-life of the structure.

Reuse

Secondary refuse (Nonstructure 152) was deposited into the depression Structure 137 after the roof collapsed on to the floor.
