STRUCTURE DATING

Abandonment
Structure 1411 was abandoned in the late Pueblo III period, immediately prior to regional abandonment. Natural sediment accumulated within and above this structure. Artifacts were most likely washed in from surrounding areas of higher elevation.
Construction
Structure 1411 was constructed above Structure 1408, which is tree-ring dated to A.D. 1254b. Therefore, Structure 1411 was constructed in the late Pueblo III. Structure 1411 was most likely constructed immediately prior to regional abandonment.
