STRUCTURE DATING

Abandonment
Structure 1412 was abandoned in the late Pueblo III period, probably immediately prior to regional abandonment. Natural sediment accumulated within and above this structure. Artifacts were most likely washed in from surrounding areas of higher elevation.
Construction
Structure 1412 was constructed above Structure 1402, which is tree-ring dated to A.D. 1258v. Therefore, Structure 1412 was constructed in the late Pueblo III. Structure 1412 was most likely constructed immediately prior to regional abandonment.
