STRUCTURE DATING

Abandonment
Structure 407 was abandoned in the late Pueblo III period, immediately prior to regional abandonment. Natural sediment accumulated within and above this structure. Artifacts were most likely washed in from surrounding areas of higher elevation.
Construction
Structure 407 was constructed above Structure 405 (which was constructed after A.D. 1250). Therefore, Structure 407 was constructed in the late Pueblo III period. Structure 407 was constructed immediately prior to regional abandonment.
