Abandonment
The structure fill was backfill deposited during 1931 Western State College field school excavations; thus, the artifacts found in this structure were probably from an adjacent structure in this roomblock originally. Both Pueblo II and Pueblo III sherds were found in this structure, but the presence of a large proportion of Mesa Verde Black-on-white sherds indicates that abandonment occurred late in the occupation of the village.
Construction
The pecked-block masonry style indicates construction during the Pueblo III period (A.D. 1150-1300).
