Masonry Details
General Location Central part of the site.
Specific Location South of the roomblock in Architectural Block 2200.
Selection Criteria Surface was encountered during testing of a possible midden in this architectural block.
Use Outdoor use surface into which an expedient firepit (Feature ) was dug; use of this surface is probably associated with the occupation of Architectural Block 2200.
Abandonment Abandoned as a surface when refuse began to accumulate on it.
Postabandonment Processes Buried by aeolian and alluvial deposits.
Dating of Construction Surface was not constructed
Dating of Remodeling
Dating of Abandonment Surface was abandoned sometime after A.D. 1180; this inference is based on the association of Mesa Verde Black-on-white with the surface.
