Masonry Details
General Location South part of site.
Specific Location South of the roomblock in Architectural Block 2600.
Selection Criteria Surface was encountered during excavation to sample this midden area.
Use Outdoor use surface associated with Feature 1 (firepit).
Abandonment Abandoned as a use surface when refuse was deposited in a firepit (Feature 1) and on the surface.
Postabandonment Processes Naturally deposited alluvial and aeolian sediments covered the secondary refuse.
Dating of Construction Surface was not constructed (was prehistoric ground surface).
Dating of Remodeling
Dating of Abandonment Pottery associated with this surface (Pueblo III White Painted) indicates that the surface was abandoned sometime after A.D. 1100.
