Masonry Details
General Location North part of the site.
Specific Location North edge of the roomblock in Architectural Block 800.
Selection Criteria Surface recorded during excavations to expose a segment of the outside face of the north wall of the roomblock.
Use This was an outdoor use surface associated with the construction and occupation of the roomblock in Architectural Block 800
Abandonment Surface no longer used when it became covered with refuse
Postabandonment Processes Buried under wall fall, and naturally deposited sediments
Dating of Construction Surface was used sometime after A.D. 1180; this inference is based on the presence of Mesa Verde Black-on-white pottery in the fill beneath this surface.
Dating of Remodeling
Dating of Abandonment Surface was abandoned sometime after A.D. 1180; this inference is based on the presence of Mesa Verde Black-on-white pottery in the fill beneath this surface.

Location 1-x-1 meter grid unit 1190N 1008E. North part of site. Extension of 2 x 1 excavation unit at north edge of roomblock in Architectural Block 800.
Selection Criteria Judgmental. Extension of 2 x 1 m unit to the south to try to expose the masonry wall of the roomblock in Architectural Block 800.
Excavation Strategy Natural strata.
Unit Ends at Undisturbed native sediment.

Selection Criteria Judgmental. To expose roomblock masonry and determine presence of earlier occupations beneath roomblock.
