Selection Criteria
2-x-2-m unit judgmentally placed to sample Nonstructure 1109 (secondary refuse) deposits. Fill continued below Nonstructure 1109 into Nonstructure 1117 Feature 1 and 2.
Use
This surface represents an extramural use area from which a burial pit (Feature 1) was excavated and Human Remains Occurrence 6 (Feature 2) was interred.

No data.
Postabandonment Process
After Human Remains Occurrence 6 was interred, secondary refuse (Nonstructure 1109) was deposited over the burial and surface.
Dating of Construction
Based on Nonstructure 1109 midden deposits which cover Nonstructure 117, Nonstructure 1117 was used during the early Pueblo III period.
Dating of Remodeling
None evident.
Dating of Abandonment
This surface was probably not used after the early Pueblo III period.
Dating of Midden
Secondary refuse (Nonstructure 1109) was deposited above Nonstructure 1117 after Human Remains Occurrence 6 was interred.

Selection Criteria
Judgmental. 2-x-2-m unit was placed southeast of Structure 1106 to sample associated midden deposits. Secondary refuse (Nonstructure 1109) was encountered below the plow zone.
Excavation Strategy
Strata subdivided into arbitrary levels. Plow zone (Stratum A) was excavated as a natural stratum.
Unit Ends at
Fill continued. Fill continued into Nonstructure 1117 Feature 1 (Burial Pit) and Feature 2 (Human Remains Occurrence 6).
