Nonstructure 1322 was uncovered while excavating Structure 1315, Segment 1.
Use
This is an extramural surface from which Nonstructure 1322 Feature 1, a slab-lined pit, was excavated.
Abandonment
Natural sediments accumulated in the slab-lined pit and on the surface after they were no longer used. This most likely occurred during the late Pueblo III period.

Natural sediments accumulated in the slab-lined pit and on the surface after they were no longer used.
Dating of Construction
This surface was constructed on the floor of Structure 1315 after the roof was burned and collapsed on Surface 1. A pit (Feature 1) was excavated through the burned roof sediments until Structure 1315 Surface 1 was reached. Structure 1315 dates to the Pueblo III period (see Structure 1315 for cutting dates), therefore this surface must have been used during the late Pueblo III period. This surface may have been used immediately prior to regional abandonment.
