Construction
Feature was built as part of the west wall; a gap was left when courses were laid; base = tabular stone; south side = two small blocks; north side = two large blocks; top = a block that partly rests on north side of socket; the top is also defined by cliff overhang; back side is not preserved; no surface treatment on the interior of the socket; sediment identical to the mortar in the wall was deposited in the socket, most likely to secure beam; beam impressions were found on the sediment adhering to the north side of the socket.
