General description
Irregular pit on an extramural surface.
Use history
Pit was used for an unknown purpose, was probably left open, and it filled naturally, probably while occupation of the village continued.
Associated features
None - but an unburned beam and complete (but broken) grayware jar were found south of the pit, resting on the surface into which the pit was excavated.
