General comments

The purpose of this wall is not known. Because the wall borders a natural drainage and is at the east edge of an area inferred to have been a reservoir, the wall is thought to have been constructed to block, divert, or control water. The wall was built on a layer of fill rather than bedrock, possibly because of the poor condition of the bedrock in the northern portion of the excavation unit.
