General Location South part of the site.
Specific Location South of the roomblock in Architectural Block 200.
Selection Criteria To sample possible midden area associated with the nearby roomblock.
Use Refuse from the occupation of Architectural Block 200.
Abandonment Abandoned when occupation of this area ended.
Postabandonment Processes Upper portion of this midden was mixed by recent looting activities.
Dating of Midden Midden contains both Pueblo II and Pueblo III sherds. However, the presence of Mesa Verde Black-on-white pottery in the lowermost, undisturbed layer of the deposits indicates that people began depositing this refuse after A.D. 1180.
