General Location Central part of the site.
Specific Location South of roomblock in Architectural Block 2300.
Selection Criteria To sample midden in this architectural block.
Use This area was used for the deposition of a moderate amount of refuse--probably by the occupants of the nearby roomblock.

Dating of Midden This 50-cm-thick midden contains both late Pueblo II and Pueblo III pottery. The presence of Mesa Verde Black-on-white pottery indicates that refuse was deposited here until sometime after A.D. 1180.
