General Location Central part of the site.
Specific Location South of the roomblock in Architectural Block 600.
Selection Criteria To sample the midden associated with this architectural block.
Use Area was used for the deposition of refuse, probably by the residents of the nearby roomblock
Abandonment Abandoned when occupation of this area ended
Postabandonment Processes Midden was heavily disturbed by looting activity and rodent burrowing
Dating of Midden This 1.3-m-thick, churned midden contains late Pueblo II and Pueblo III sherds. The presence of Mesa Verde Black-on-white pottery leads to the inference that at least some of this refuse was deposited after A.D. 1180.
