Specific Location South of the roomblock in Architectural Block 600.
Selection Criteria To sample the midden associated with this architectural block.
Use Area was used for the deposition of refuse, probably by the residents of the nearby roomblock
Abandonment Abandoned when use of this area ended
Postabandonment Processes Midden covered by naturally deposited sediments
Dating of Midden This 75-cm-thick undisturbed midden contains a few Pueblo I sherds and abundant late Pueblo II and Pueblo III sherds. However, the presence of Mesa Verde Black-on-white in the lowermost stratum leads to the inference that the refuse was deposited sometime after A.D. 1180.
