Selection Criteria To sample midden associated with this architectural block.
Use This area was used for the deposition of refuse, probably by the residents of the nearby roomblock
Abandonment Abandoned when use of this area ended
Postabandonment Processes Covered by naturally deposited sediments
Dating of Midden This 10-to-15-cm thick midden deposit contained no pottery, but Mesa Verde Black-on-white sherds were found beneath this refuse. This leads to the inference that the refuse was deposited sometime after A.D. 1180.
