Central portion of Block 100; within depression created by collapse of Structure 110.
Selection Criteria
Initially encountered in 1-x-1-m unit 474N 490E; subsequent judgmental units excavated to sample Nonstructure 101 and Structure 110.
Use
Disposal of refuse by residents from a nearby roomblock during the late Pueblo II through early Pueblo III periods.
Abandonment
Pottery data indicates that refuse was not deposited into the depression of Structure 110 after the early Pueblo III period.
Postabandonment Process
Midden deposits were covered by natural sediments; the upper deposits were disturbed by plowing.
Dating of Midden
The depression left by Structure 110 was used for the disposal of domestic refuse, probably from residents in a nearby roomblock, during the late Pueblo II through early Pueblo III periods.
