Second 1-x-1-m unit randomly selected for excavation in Block 100. Exposed intact midden deposits (Nonstructure 111).
Use
Disposal of secondary refuse by residents from a nearby roomblock during the Pueblo II period.
Abandonment
Secondary refuse was no longer discarded in this area after the late Pueblo II period.
Postabandonment Process
Natural sediments accumulated above Nonstructure 111. Plowing disturbed the upper portion of the refuse deposits.
Dating of Midden
Secondary refuse was deposited during the Pueblo II period.
