Selection Criteria
Segment 1 and 2.3-x-2-m unit 556N 638E were excavated to sample the secondary refuse.
Use
Secondary refuse was deposited into the depression of Structure 1308 by residents from a nearby roomblock during the late Pueblo II period.
Abandonment
Secondary refuse was no longer discarded in this area after the late Pueblo II period.
Postabandonment Process
Natural sediments accumulated above the refuse; the upper portion of the deposits were disturbed by plowing.
Dating of Midden
Secondary refuse was deposited in this area during the late Pueblo II period.
