Selection Criteria
Third remote sensing anomaly tested in Block 1400; Backhoe Trench 1407 uncovered Nonstructure 1409, intact midden deposit.
Use
The refuse was deposited into the depression of Structure 1414 by residents from a nearby roomblock during the early Pueblo III period.
Abandonment
Secondary refuse was no longer deposited in this area after the early Pueblo III period.
Postabandonment Process
Natural sediments accumulated above Nonstructure 1409 after it was no longer being used.
Dating of Midden
Secondary refuse was deposited into this location during the early Pueblo III period.
