Selection Criteria
Encountered in Backhoe Trench 127; further sampled in 2-x-2-m unit to sample Nonstructure 142.
Use
Secondary refuse deposited by residents from a nearby roomblock during the early Pueblo III period.
Abandonment
Refuse was no longer deposited into this area after the early Pueblo III period.
Postabandonment Process
Natural sediments accumulated above the refuse; the upper portions of these deposits were disturbed by plowing.
Dating of Midden
Secondary refuse was deposited into this area during the early Pueblo III period.
