Central portion of site.
Specific Location
Central portion of Block 100; within Structure 137.
Selection Criteria
Exposed in Backhoe Trench 135; two 2-x-2-m units (EU 240 and EU 241) were excavated to sample midden fill and sample Structure 137.
Use
Secondary refuse was deposited into the depression of Structure 137 by residents from a nearby roomblock during the late Pueblo II period.
Abandonment
Refuse was no longer discarded in this area after the late Pueblo II period.
Postabandonment Process
Natural sediments accumulated above the refuse. The upper deposits were disturbed by plowing.
Dating of Midden
Secondary refuse was deposited in this area during the late Pueblo II period.
