Selection Criteria
Segment 7 was excavated to sample fill and features evident in profile of Backhoe Trench 112. Nonstructure 157 was one of these.
Use
Secondary refuse was deposited into Structure 149 by residents from a nearby roomblock during the late Pueblo II through early Pueblo III periods.
Abandonment
Refuse was no longer discarded in this area after the early Pueblo III period.
Postabandonment Process
Natural sediments accumulated above the refuse; the upper portion was disturbed by plowing.
Dating of Midden
Secondary refuse was deposited in this area during the late Pueblo II through early Pueblo III periods.
