General Location
Central portion of site.
Specific Location
Northeast portion of Block 200; within Structure 237.
Selection Criteria
Exposed in Backhoe Trench 236; a 2-x-2-m unit (523N 588.5E) was excavated from modern ground surface to the bottom of Nonstructure 245.
Use
The refuse was discarded into the depression of Structure 237 by residents from a nearby roomblock during the early Pueblo III period.
Abandonment
Refuse was no longer discarded in this area after the early Pueblo III period.
Postabandonment Process
Natural sediments accumulated above the refuse; the upper portions were disturbed by plowing.
Dating of Midden
Secondary refuse was deposited in this area in the early Pueblo III period.

Judgmental. 2-x-2-m unit was judgmentally placed south of Backhoe Trench 236 to sample Nonstructure 245 and Structure 237.
Excavation Strategy
Strata subdivided into arbitrary levels.
Unit Ends at
Fill continued. Excavation ceased when upper roof sediments of Structure 237 was encountered (PD 1959).
