Outdoor use surface associated with the construction of a wall (Feature 1, Wall: other) and probably with the adjacent north-south drainage.

Surface was not constructed--consists of the top of a layer of naturally deposited brown sandy clay loam. This was defined as a surface because a wall (Feature 1, Wall: other) rests on this 20-cm-thick layer.The presence of artifacts in this sediment indicates that the layer was deposited during the occupation of the site.
