This bedrock surface was exposed during the early portion of the occupation of this architectural block, and was probably used in association with the adjacent drainage. Approximately 20 cm of sediment accumulated naturally on this surface, then a wall or structure was built on that layer of sediment.

Not a constructed surface--unaltered bedrock.
