Probably used for domestic activities. A wide variety of artifacts were recovered from floor and just above floor, including several ground-stone tools, which may indicate food processing or meal preparation. Pit with charcoal-stained fill in northwest corner of structure also suggests domestic activities.

Might have been abandoned before village occupation ended, because remaining walls are very short and there is little rubble in the area, possibly indicating that the structure was dismantled during occupation. Alternatively, rubble might have been robbed during historic settlement of this canyon, when many structures were built using stones that had been shaped in prehistoric times.
