Structure 410, masonry surface structure
About this Structure
General Location
Located at northeast edge of site.
Specific Location
Above Structure 404 (first story) and Structure 409 (second story).
Interpretive Type
Tower.
Structure Use
Little interpretation possible; the existence of this third story (above first-story Structure 404 and second-story Structure 409) is based on an historic Jackson photograph (57-HS-1109) that shows masonry extending above a beam stub that would have been the roof of the second story (Structure 409). Thus, Structure 410 could have been a fully enclosed and roofed third-story room, could have been merely a section of protective, defensive wall, or could have been part of a full parapet wall enclosing the entire roof.
