Structure 103, masonry surface structure

About this Structure

General Location

Central portion of site.

Specific Location

North-central portion of Block 100; east of Structure 104; west of Structure 102.

Interpretive Type

Living room.

Structure Use

Because Colorado Mountain College excavated through most of Structure 103 Surface 1, there are no artifacts or features recorded to determine how the structure was used. Structure 103 is inferred to have been a masonry surface room associated with Structure 122 (kiva). A hearth, constructed of upright sandstone slabs, was recorded in the central portion of the room. Therefore, the room most likely functioned as a living room.

Abandonment

No evidence of abandonment.

Postabandonment

No evidence of postabandonment processes.
