Structure 1413, subterranean room
About this Structure
Northeastern portion of site.
North-central portion of Block 1400.
Due to the absence of floor artifacts and that the test units did not uncover any floor features, the function of Structure 1413 is unknown. It probably served as a storage space or a place to perform domestic activities.
Based on pottery data and tree-ring data, Structure 1413 was abandoned in the late Pueblo III period immediately prior to regional migration. Natural wind and water laminations accumulated on the floor surface prior to the roof collapsing.
