Southwestern portion of Block 1400; immediately east of Backhoe Trench 1404.
Selection Criteria
Judgmental. Segment 1 was excavated to expose and sample the eastern portion of Structure 1412.

Southwestern portion of Block 1400; above Structure 1402; directly west of Backhoe Trench 1404.
Selection Criteria
Judgmental. Mechanical scrape was excavated to remove post abandonment natural deposits above Structure 1412 to define, and sample, the western portion of the structure.
Excavation Strategy
Full cut.
Unit Ends at
Fill continued. Excavation ceased a few centimeters above Structure 1412 masonry; remaining fill was removed by hand; Structure 1412 excavation ceased at Surface 1.

Central portion of Block 1400; Segment 12 is partially below the northwestern portion of Backhoe Trench 1404 and the northeastern portion of 2.75-x-2.75 m unit 593.5N 674E.
Selection Criteria
Judgmental. Segment 12 was excavated to sample Structure 1412 and to expose the hearth in Structure 1402.

Strata subdivided into arbitrary levels.
Unit Ends at
Structure floor. Excavation ended at Structure 1402, Surface 1. The unit size was reduced at Structure 1412, Surface 1 (see PD 2238).
