Mobile Learning Lab

Crow Canyon’s Mobile Learning Lab extends our mission beyond campus by bringing hands-on archaeology, cultural histories, and STEAM-based learning directly to underserved schools and communities.

Designed to increase access to high-quality, place-based education, the Mobile Learning Lab delivers interactive, inquiry-driven lessons that connect students to the human histories, cultures, sciences, and landscapes of the American Southwest.

Through immersive, hands-on experiences, students explore how archaeology helps us understand the past—and why those stories matter today.

What Does the Mobile Learning Lab Teach?

The Mobile Learning Lab draws from Crow Canyon’s campus-based curriculum, developed in consultation with Pueblo and other Indigenous communities to help ensure that what we teach is accurate, respectful, and mindful of the living connections between past and present.

Who Can Request the Mobile Learning Lab?

The Mobile Learning Lab is reserved for underserved schools and communities that may not have the opportunities or resources to travel to Crow Canyon’s campus. Availability is determined on a case-by-case basis.

The lab can travel throughout Colorado and the Four Corners region, including New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona, depending on scheduling, resources, and program needs.

Eligible partners may include:

    • K–12 schools
    • Indigenous communities and tribally run or affiliated schools
    • Museums, cultural centers, and libraries
    • State and national historic parks
    • Career fairs and community events (i.e. Archaeology Days)
