Cheryl Lone Bear (Oglala Sioux/Ute) is a member of the Northern Ute Tribe and works as the Director of the Ute Indian Tribe Library. Her passion for education is rooted in ancient and contemporary Ute traditions as she advocates for vibrant cultural continuity as expressed through her masterful beadwork and storytelling. In 2025, the Utah State Historical Society awarded Cheryl the Outstanding Achievement Award for her excellence in teaching traditional beadwork to Tribal members.
