A-dae Romero-Briones (Cochiti/Kiowa) was born and raised in Cochiti Pueblo, New Mexico and comes from the Ware/Toyekoyah/Komalty Family from Hog Creek, Oklahoma on the Kiowa side. A-dae has dedicated her career to supporting Native communities and advancing equitable food systems. Her work spans nonprofit leadership, community development, and academic research, always with a focus on tribal food sovereignty and agricultural sustainability. She holds degrees from Princeton University, Arizona State University’s College of Law, and the University of Arkansas School of Law, where she specialized in food and agricultural law.
A U.S. Fulbright Scholar, A-dae is honored to contribute to organizations like FACT (Food Animal Concerns Trust), the National Academy of Sciences Maternal Health board, and Civil Eats. She approaches her role as Vice President of Policy & Research for Native Agriculture and Food Systems Investments with gratitude, aiming to elevate Native voices and foster meaningful change.
